 Daily Camp activities

Journey

A journey in the outdoors is very healthy for kids. It improves cardiovascular health, muscle strength, and coordination. Mentally, nature stimulates curiosity and creativity while reducing stress. Emotionally, it promotes calm, boosts mood, and strengthens self-esteem. Additionally, hiking with friends strengthens social bonds and teaches teamwork and resilience. There will always be a destination spot (water or end of trail) that will usually be between 0.5 - 3 miles round trip.

Nature  Art/Journal/Reflection

Imagine having your very own adventure journal for writing or drawing all the cool things you see and hear in the forest! Using your senses in nature is like pretending to be a wild animal, attuning to the rustle of leaves, the scent of pine, and the symphony of bird songs. Reflecting on the outdoor adventures through writing, art, and storytelling helps everyone remember them, making each day even more magical.

Water Play

Letting your kids play in the water is a safe and fun way to keep them cool. Whether splashing in a shallow pool, exploring calm streams, or wading in shallow rivers, they can enjoy the refreshing experience while developing their motor skills. Parents can ensure safety by providing properly fitting flotation devices. The camp Lead will set clear boundaries, supervise, and choose where to play in the body of water. It's a delightful and memorable part of their summer adventures.
